NextGen Ventures
NextGen Ventures is Australia's student-focused venture capital fund. We are for the next generation of curious, ambitious, and innovative minds in Australia. Our vision is to empower the next generation by providing the capital and support you need to actualise your ambitions.
To date we have sourced 1000+ student-led startups, raised $2m for our first fund and made four investments in the country's most ambitious young founders.
The fund is the brainchild of Mitchell Hughes, a previous Monash University student who became enmeshed in the uni startup ecosystem and was surrounded by friends and classmates who wanted to be founders and entrepreneurs. What he noticed as a problem that needed solving was an on-ramp of adequate support infrastructure from university to the broader startup ecosystem. Enter NextGen Ventures!
Mitchell is a Judge for this year's Teens in Business Awards and NextGen Ventures will be providing a Fireside Chat for the Winners and mentoring support.
